The Interior

The drawing room is massive at one hundred square metres. The theme mixes Asian with Moroccan. Lovely carved oak doors, simple terracotta floors with inlaid ceramics. There is a large fire for winter vacations and large ceiling fans for hot summers. Even in Summer there is always a cooling breeze. The drawing room leads into a stylish, modern kitchen with double oven, island and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and everything you need to self cater. The kitchen in turn leads on the the dining room which looks up into a twenty foot high beamed ceiling.

The house comprises four very large bedrooms with additional beds if required to sleep up to ten people.

The property has central heating and a log fire for winter breaks. There is a tv with Satellite channels, WiFi, a dvd player and a cd player.

Each double bedroom has been designed to reflect different themes. There is a Louis suite, a Maroc Room and the Powder Blue Room. The master en suite has an Indian feel with large carved mirrors from the East. The King Size bed looks out across the infinity pool and sea. The Master Bedroom suite also has it’s own roll top bath, a wet room and a built in music system.

The Bedrooms

The master bedroom suite includes a roll top bath, wet room and music system. All accommodation is of the highest standard.
There are 4 large double bedrooms, all situated downstairs. These are naturally cool at night and each has an overhead fan that adds to your night- time comfort.

In November 2010 another room was added in the tower. This is reached by a spiral staircase from the dining room. It has two couches and is equipped as a home cinema with HD DVD facilities. The house has so many nooks and crannies that it is possible to get away from everyone when you need a bit of peace. Most people who have holidayed here describe it as the best villa they have ever stayed in!

Exterior

Outside there is a private, heated thirteen metre pool with infinity edge, surrounded by shrubs and exotic plants from southern Europe. There is also a terrace at the south end with pergola. This seats up to ten and is an ideal place to look out over the sea, talk, drink and eat. A BBQ provides the perfect way to cook and eat al fresco. There is also a shared tennis court nearby.

At the back there is a large courtyard and a Folly comprising three large Roman pillars and Moroccan arches. In this area we have fruit trees such as orange, lemon, date and almond.There is a new pergola overlooking the sea and the terrace is ideal for dining and sunbathing. There are fabulous views all day and particularly at night. At night you can light the garden and pool or just wait for the numerous solar tree lights to come on naturally. There are lots of trees and shrubs and there are lemons, oranges, figs and plantains.

The nearest beach and amenities are about 2km away.

Bed linen and towels are provided.

Pets are not permitted at the property.

Smoking is not permitted inside the villa.

A car is advisable.

The villa is suitable for families, groups of friends and corporate bookings.

Changeover day is flexible.

The Costa Tropical benefits from some of the best weather in Europe. It is warm for most of the year. At Christmas people can be seen swimming in the sea! It is possible in the winter to get a sun tan in the morning and go skiing in the Sierra Nevada in the afternoon. The house is just over an hour from the ski slopes.

Unlike many of The Costas, The Costa Tropical is unspoiled by mass tourism. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and soak up local culture. Granada and the Alhambra are less than an hour away. The new motorway means that we are now only 1 hour door to door from Malaga airport.

Monte de los Almendros is one of the most sought after areas on the Costa Tropical. The main town is Salobrena. It is dominated by large, detached houses and has its own activity centre including tennis court, football pitch and swimming pool. Our house is in a secluded part of the community and has plenty of outside spaces so there is always somewhere to disappear to and get away from it all. The villa benefits form its own large pool and gardens. From the house, Granada is a short distance as is the town of Almunecar.
